City 7: Toronto Conflict

This is perhaps some of the coolest game news I’ve seen in some time. City 7: Toronto Conflict is a HL2 mission created by a student development team. Basically, they have recreated the city of Toronto to capture what was a horrific combine occupation not just in City 17, but the entire world. I played through some of the game and its pretty good. At the beginning I was like wtf do I do. I kept dieing trying to make it. I finally got to the subway though lol.

I downloaded it, and did not like it at all.
1. The voice acting is absolutly horrible. “ThIs fOOdz tAsTeS LIEK iT has AlrEADy beEEEn EEtn!”
2. Poor level design. In the first level, you have no freaking idea what to do. What the hell are zombies doing on a train? Why are the combine putting on a concert? What?
3. Massive hordes of enemies does not make it hard. It makes it frustrating. Insteat of spamming
the “ent_npc_soldier”, strategically place them. Make them feel real.
I’m sure that alot of work was put into this mod, but you could have done much, much better.

yeah, it’s awesome caus’ they recreated Toronto, I don’t think it was really ment to be played through, if you have a problem make your own mod, see how easy it is then, theres nothing gained through putting down other people’s hard work, plus if you have a problem you should post it on their site, not leet world, lets not waste peoples bandwidth and disk space.

Whoa, whoa whoa.
You have taken me all wrong.
I understand that they have put a large ammount of effort into this, and I know it is something that I could never do. I have neither the time nor the talent. I am merely pointing out what I did not like and what they should improve on. Im not saying it was a bad mod, Its just not my cup of tea.
And the wasting bandwith thing was unnecesary. They allow people to voice their oppinions on this site for a reason.

Just had to comment on the mod.
I downloaded it about a week ago, and played it as soon as possible.
And boy, i was dissapointed. The voice acting were absoloutely TERRIBLE.
The level design was even worse. And it was poorly coded.
When i tried it one more time the whole game f’d up and i had no save files either.
