New Site, Old Content!

You may have noticed that the site was down for a few months. Sorry about that! Basically what happens is that when you leave a WordPress site largely unattended for a few years, it tends to get hacked EVEN IF you keep the install up-to-date. Those hackers are wily!

In any case, we started having trouble with both GamerSushi and Smooth Few Films getting filled with malicious spam, so I decided to take down this site for a while under the assumption I would take the time to create a streamlined non-Wordpress version without much trouble.

Several months passed, and I realized that I wasn’t going to get off my ass and make a whole new site from the ground up any time soon, so I’ve gone ahead and reactivated the WordPress site with a new theme and some minor changes here and there.

Now, before you get excited, this post doesn’t mean the guys are working on any new stuff. Don’t take this as an opportunity to ask if they’ll be making season three of The Leet World, because it’s not going to happen. We know you guys loved The Leet World, but it came to a natural end more than four years ago!

Yeah, I knew there was a danger of getting people excited when I posted, but I also felt like I had to let everyone know the site was back and why it was taken down in the first place. Trying to be transparent and all. Sorry to disappoint.

    Soooo…”new content”…

What about bloopers for the final few episodes? 🙂 I mean when ya think about it that’s OLD content lol.

Or if i’m stupid and they’re already up let me know, but I only remember downloads for up to Episode 10 of Season 2.

OK, I was afraid this might happen. I really only posted to apologize for taking down the site for so long. I don’t have any more content to share, new or “old” (newly edited outtakes would fall under the category of “new” content).

All of the available outtakes were posted back in the day while the show was still running. You can see all of them here:

      http://smoothfewfilms.com/category/outtakes/

And, yes, you’re right, they do end at episode 10 of season 2. If we were going to post more than that, trust me when I say that we would have done it by now. Basically you should think of this site as an archive of the things the guys made between 2007 and 2010.

Eh, don’t be afraid of anything :), I was just asking on the off chance it would be easily accessible like the Season 1 soundtrack (thank you for posting btw lol)

And the post was much appreciated…never be afraid to tell the internet how you’re feeling.

..Well you know what I mean

I know it may be hard to understand from the outside, but these sorts of requests can be kind of exhausting. That’s what I mean when I say I was “afraid” of this. Having to say no over and over again just makes you feel like you’re constantly on the defensive. Especially since most of the “no” answers are written up on our FAQ page.

That’s part of the reason the site hasn’t been updated in years – every time Eddy posted anything at all, it would inspire this kind of reaction. We still to this day get messages on Facebook asking for season three. We got one last week!

That said, if any of us do anything notable, we’ll definitely post about it here. Eddy’s going to be published some day – he’s a fantastic writer, and he’s been writing his ass off for the past few years – but there’s always the worry that talking about what we’re doing now will just inspire more questions about things we did years ago.

No worries. Thanks again though for providing the season 1 soundtrack. Was a nice Christmas present lol.

Good luck in you future endeavors and Happy Holidays.

Thank you so much for the Soundtrack! I still remember previewing the songs back in the day when I was too young to purchase it online. I’ve recently had ‘The Producer’ theme in my head and tried searching for it when I noticed your store was down. Thanks, Jeff. Today I’ve also just downloaded Lit Fuse Film’s soundtrack which they freely released after a couple years of inactivity. I really appreciate all the free stuff, guys!

I’m more involved with Accursed Farms now, but all of these old machinima groups are awesome and I really like collecting what I can from them to remember how inspiring they’ve been to me and my own creativity. Machinima is still new, I wouldn’t think I’d be getting so nostalgic over these songs. Sincere gratitude, man. Best of luck to you.

A little late to the party, but I’ve been a member of this site for ages. I made that Leet World fan made trailer; my name is Daniel Sheehan. I’m glad that you all have moved onto greener pastures in LA. You are all quite a talented smooth few. thanks for the 4 years of lulz

Hello Jeff! i would like to ask you something if you don’t mind, i have an airsoft team, and me and my team mate’s would like to reproduce leet world in real life and even televion it. would it be copy right infridgement? I can leave my e-mail and give me a response ( horotan.antonio@yahoo.com )

You don’t need our blessing to make a fan video. The only things I would ask are that you not use Jace’s music or make any money from content inspired by The Leet World.

Also, if you have the wherewithal to get your friends together and actually make something, the best thing to do is to make something completely original as soon as you possibly can. That’s our biggest takeaway from the time we spent working together. Original content is key.

Oh wow, thanks for the notice, Daniel. How’d you know it was me? 😛 It’s pretty cool how people are banded together sometimes in their work just from old shows they used to watch online. Anyway, I loved the effect you did with the soldiers dropping from the osprey. Good luck to you.

I just put two and two together! It’s a pleasure to meet you! Sorry to have left; Ross and I had some differences but I am absolutely looking towards his Gorilla Gong website. Thanks for your contributions to machinima as well! I’m no professional or anything; I’m a 19 year old. I made the fan made trailer when I was 16!

Again, an honor to meet you!

I know you guys have moved on and you’re doing your own thing. I terribly miss Smooth Few Films. I hate to make requests but I hope this is a reasonable one. I would absolutely love it if you guys did an update podcast, just a sound session of where you guys are now and where you guys are headed. I know that probably won’t happen but I’d love to hear from the “guys” again. Thanks and best of luck!

      1. Chettobe

Wow, thanks for getting back to me so quickly Jeff. I have read and re-read the information in the page a lot and I appreciate that you guys are are keeping us reasonably up to date there. I guess my point was I just miss the witty banter and to include eddy’s brother and yourself along with Jace. Of course this was just an idea that arose in nostalgia after rewatching the show as I presented it before my machinima group as a way of showing quality editing.
Once again, thanks for getting back so fast and I apologize if ideas like mine bring nothing but utter frustration!
