You all know what this is, so I’ll be brief. After many days of toil, we present to you Episode Eleven of The Leet World, “Wrong Side of the Hax“.
It’s the epic second challenge, so you all know what to expect. Shooting. Legendary music from Damn Dangerous. Explosions. Drama. And maybe a twist or two.

I did not think that episode should have played out the way it did, the 1st round was the way it should have gone. Westheimer should have convinced Ahmad hacks are deadly, leading up to Ahmad kiling him anyway. That was the only part I didn’t like when Ahmad killed Westheimer, you should have had him trying to convince him out of it.

Haha, glad you like the episodes, man. Thanks for watching! However I’ve got to kindly take issue with assuming that we don’t do what we can to make sure episodes come out as quickly as possible. We work hard to make this show- it costs money, time, etc. If you got this episode two weeks ago it would have been terrible and completely not finished
We’re never going to rush production to make people happy because we want the episodes to be as good as they can be.

Actually, story comes before comedy. Our focus has always been the story. Keeping comedy in mind though, if you’ve bought into the story and its characters, the comedy flows from that. Having our characters sit around and just make lolcat jokes would be incredibly shallow, unchallenging, and not fun.
It stinks that you feel it was lacking- personally, I find it our best episode by far.

Probably the best episode by far, although the last challenge was just as great. I saw some editing screw ups that i won’t mention…. Only us video producers see mistakes.
Story line gets better and better. I love how cortez is still in the zone.

Trust me when I say this… the demands of fans have never sped up the release of an episode, and have never caused the guys to rush one out just to make people happy.
That doesn’t mean the guys don’t keep the audience in mind when they’re producing an episode, but each one tells part of a larger story that has been planned out and carefully trimmed of fluff. They definitely would not crank one out and fill it with jokez just to keep the haters from yelling.
If you haven’t noticed by now, this show isn’t “just a comedy”, and that’ll continue to be the case. It’s a reality/action/comedy/drama/horror/sci-fi/etc. hybrid. There are precedents, after all.
If you don’t like that, I recommend you get off the ride now. The rest of you should strap yourselves in, because I think the next few episodes are going to blow your tiny minds. It’ll be great.

Wow, awesome stuff guys. Especially that last round with the 2-by-2 formation. That slight zooming-in while facing the CT’s back and him walking forward against the wall/train was pretty impressive. Sometimes it’s the small things, you know?

I think one of the most suspensful part was when Cortez and Westheimer pointed the guns at each other when in the death room. I really did think they would shoot eachother for a sec. And was that foreshadowing when Leeroy said that they didn’t know what happened when someone dies in the deathroom? AHH!!

You know, what I really like about this series is the character development. You begin to see how what happens to the characters shape who they are and the decisions they make (such as the Ahmad and hacks thing).
I have to say I’m impressed. If the Counter-Strike Source models were capable of facial animation, seeing their faces after seeing Ahmad hacking and blowing the train in the last round would have been priceless.
I can’t find a single criticism for it so far. *shrug*

I really didn’t like this challenge as much as the first one, Im not sure if you guys just were cut for time on this one or something as there was obviously less voice acting involved, but I think the music may have contributed also, although Damn Dangerous produces awesome music, it was all basically the same thru the rest of them and it was awesonme, while I like change, i’d say leave well enough alone in this case, or maybe it’s just because im a De Dust 2 Fan
. Regardless of what I think this was an awesome episode and please keep making Machinima, im also fond of the occasional Halo 3 one every now and then, as is everyone i’d like to think.

Player is really cool now. He’s pretty clever Cortez didn’t saw that grenade coming cause he’s blind. Player is really serious about killing Ah(mad). In the whole series player hit only Chet and Chet only. This is the first time he killed someone in one shot.. Player FTW!!
The things i noticed wrong on the episode:
1.) Round One. Player and Chet is shooting at ahmad at first encounter. Player was off aim after Ahmad Run off.
2.) Round One. The part where Westheimer and Cortez on the fight on the first round. Cortez has a blood on the face. But after the second screen. That blood is gone.
3.) Round Two. The radio sound of Player is weak.
4.) Round Three The body of Player suddenly disappeared on the fight.
5.) Round Three. the old gun of Ahmad is still on the ground.
6.) Round Three. Westheimers voice has changed..(dunno if you did that on purpose, are you tired?)
7.) Round Three. Chets voice is weak and uncencored right after the bomb is planted.
8.) Round Three. Right after the speech of Ahmad the sound is cancelled immediately like there wasn’t any echo.
Yeah thats all..Anyway good episode. I wish you have work a little bit more time before releasing it.

A few of those were intentional (1,5,6,7,8). The rest… let’s just say that continuity is a biatch.
Hell, Hollywood movies have people whose only job is to make sure the continuity is working. I feel like we do a pretty good job at it, but if we wanted to make sure we were 100% continuity-ok then episodes would take a lot longer. And would still probably have errors.

Your most awesome episode yet, the dust 2 dust episode made me laugh more but as you said that isnt what leet world is all about. I was very suprised when player actually killed cortez with his grenade, shows he is very serious about beating Ahmad. This episode had me on the edge of my seat and im looking forward to the next episode even more, I cant wait to see how this all turns out with ahmad and cortez and westheimer. Above all dont rush, I want more quality episodes like this. Once again very nice, you deserve the praise, anyone does who can make that out of CSS and Gary’s Mod…

one note though… i guess the rules for these challenges are different than the ones in real CS. As all of you guys know, if you are planting bomb (terrorists), you will win automatically after killing all CTs. You don’t have to wait for the bomb to go off. So I guess the rules are different

The First Challenge Episode wasn’t as funny as the other episodes either. The Challenge episodes are designed to bring out the 1337-ness of the charachters, with some mild jokes.
