I’d like to thank everyone for the encouraging words regarding our announcement about the end of TLW after this season (and an awesome movie). We’ve been suspecting that this might go down for a couple of months, but it only became set in stone recently. It’s good to have it out in the open, and even better when nobody goes ballistic and throws things at us. You know, like e-rocks.
Since the questions are rolling in, I wanted to clarify a few things:
- Daniel is not leaving yet. He actually won’t be gone for about 5 months or so. In that time our goal is to finish the season, party like man-imals, and then make a sweet movie. We don’t know how long the movie will be, minutes-wise.
- The show is not over yet. We’re still going to do the second half of the season. For those of you wondering, it will be just a bit shorter than last season.
- Without Daniel, we won’t be continuing Web Zeroes regularly. Since he’s kind of in it and also the director, there’s no way it could happen. We’d still like to do an episode or two before he goes, and there might be an occasional episode if he comes in town for a weekend, but that’s it.
- Nick and I will keep making stuff after TLW is over, but we’re not replacing one crazy big workload for another crazy big workload. Whatever we work on next (be it G.R.I.E.F. or one of our other ideas), it won’t be as regular or as big as The Leet World.
Anything not answered there is something we don’t know the answers to or can’t really address at this point. There’s a lot that we still don’t know, but I thought I’d do my best to answer the things we could.
Episode 8 will be out at some point this week. I’m excited to start this half of the season. It’s seriously going to be wild.
great to hear!
Oh well.. nothing can be done i guess.. but i do hope when ever daniel comes back every now and then u guys would make an episode of the leet world ^_^ thx again
well, you could have missed in all the other text, to thanks for “lightening up”
i have this weird feeling of being informed =)
I wonder what will happen to Player…
Gotta be patient though…
I’m glad that G.R.I.E.F isn’t completely dead. I was fearing It may never see the light of day…
As for TLW. It has to be shorten, let the quantity be change, I just hope the quality of each episode is unchanged.
Well, i am glad that you are making the Season to its End and i hope you guys have a los of fun !!
i can’t wait :):)
I’m wondering something. You’re saying you will finish this half season and a movie, but you have only five months to do this. Are you really beliving you can finish the movie?
Nice clarification. And good luck guys, we’re here for ya :’D

Well, when I say finish the movie, I mean finish FILMING the movie before Daniel leaves. We’re on pace to finish the Season in July, so there’s plenty of time to shoot the movie before he leaves in October. No idea how long it’ll take in post after that, but the important thing is to finish shooting it before he’s gone.
Great. Too bad the season is going to be shortened, but oh well. I still believe in you guys :). anyways can someone please tell me very detailed (step by step) how to put TLW on ipod. BTW it’s an ipod touch.
wait… Daniel’s coming back every weekend, right? Are you really gonna making machinimas during those short times, instead of doing something else that is more… family-like? Two thumbs up, dudes, such a dedication to the world of machinima and to your fans.
anyways can someone please tell me very detailed (step by step) how to put TLW on ipod. BTW it’s an ipod touch.
1. Download the ipod versions of the episodes (right click and save as…)
2. Put them on your ipod.
wait… Daniel’s coming back every weekend, right?
No, Daniel won’t be coming back every weekend. When I said that we might do a Web Zeroes on a weekend, I meant that if there’s some random weekend he comes back in town, we might try to pull one off.
Also, the season isn’t shortened because of all of this, it’s actually shortened because we planned it better. Had we known what we were doing when we started Season 1, it would have been shorter, too.
Well I’m glad to hear you guys will still probably still be making a series after TLW is over . You guys really are masters at what you do so it would seem to be a waste of talent not to do something heh. Oh and just out of curiosity do you guys plan on doing more commentary about the episodes later on? Obviously right now your probably very busy with production and work, etc. It might be a nice treat for once the second season is over though.
WAIT WAIT WAIT,
Let me get this clear…
When you say “Anything not answered there is something we don’t know the answers to or can’t really address at this point. There’s a lot that we still don’t know, but I thought I’d do my best to answer the things we could.”, you mean to tell me you don’t know whether or not you like pizza!?
Man… This is pretty serious.
can you finish ep8 till 29.(it’s my birthday,so it be a birthday present)????
keep up the gud work!!!!!!
you guys are THE KINGS OF MACHINIMA(did i spelled it right?)!!!!
Thanks for all the updates and such… i’m glad you guys are planning on somewhat continuing the other stuff you had planned… i was thinking i would have to go back to youtube… =/
ok take care, have fun and thanks for awnesirng mah question (awnser #1)
Rock on, SFF. Rock on. Party it up like man-imals. Finish a kick ass season. Make a kick ass movie. But seriously, party hard in the last months Daniel is still there. And then party hard when he comes to visit, too.
Also, what you said about getting it all filmed before Daniel leaves, that means that whenever he comes into town he will be recording his lines? I’m assuming you guys would record your lines and just wait until Daniel gets finished with his and then I guess edit it all in. That would be logical to me anyway.
Well, we do audio before we film. So we’ll have his lines well before he’s gone.
Thanks for the clarification. And just because you mentioned it, I’m going to throw an e-rock at you…
but attatched to that e-rock is an e-note, ( since it shattered your e-window, duh). The note reads…
We love you guys STOP
Enjoy your time with Dan while he’s here STOP
Excited to see future projects STOP
Well there’s always TF2 shorts that you guys could do.
(I’d love that)
I’m cool with this. As long as things can wrap up I’m fine.
Also, I will follow webzeroes even if it’s only an occasional episode. So many people can relate to it. Plus I wanna see that divorce which we all know is coming. :3
Well, we do audio before we film. So we’ll have his lines well before he’s gone.
Oh, so all you will have to do when Daniel leaves is edit the entire thing? I just like to know how you will do this 😀
Finally got out of my laziness and decided to comment on the ending of the Leet World. I hate to see ya go, but at the same time respect you for your decision. All good things must come to an end. I remember getting into your stuff when I saw the short piece you had done with the turents, and was instantly hooked.
Good machienma is hard to come by these days. Red vs Blue takes forever sometimes to make something, light fuse has seemed to burnt out long ago. Thankfully if your interested into Ross Scott, I cannot remember if you heard of him, he has given us some great talent as well. You guys stood out to me amongst the others. Your humor reminds me of past times with friends, and i will cherish it. Nick, I hope all the best for you and your job.
——- To The Leet World And All Who Are Fans———–
——- Thank you ———-
P.S. sorry for the mispelling, im a newb 😛
I know Daniel was supposed to be in GRIEF since he did that line at the end. I’m guessing that will change too, and he won’t be directing it (if that’s what he was going to do in the first place).
Anyways, do what you gotta do.
I am super bummed, The Leet World is one of my favorite machinimas. And even though the series must end, I fully commend you for having a real ending to your story, instead of giving us a bad cliffhander like in Duckman.
Best of luck for the future.
i am kind of sad that my fav counter strike source series is coming 2 a end but i understand y and im ok with it but im just asking lyk how long until the leet world movie cause im looking forward 2 it soooo much cause i really want 2 know how it all end but im also wondering lyk how long will the movie go 4 and im really looking forward 2 the rest of season 2 :D……thnx alot 4 inventing/thinking of creating leet world cause it’s awsome….:D good luck and pzzz just try 2 attempt 2 make a new series most likely better than leet world :D….
P.S. im only 12 years old and just registered yesterday 😀 soooo im getting used 2 posting comments on here 😀
Here’s my e-rock. It says you rock! But seriously, why do you have to end it? thias is the only part of Counter Strike I like now that my PC died. I can’t believe it’s getting stopped. Are you sure it has to end? why can’t somebody on the show get killed or something to explain the absence of voice?

I believe I outlined this pretty clearly before. TLW is a 3 man effort, with each of us putting in a lot of time. Take out one part of that- and arguably the biggest part at that, as Daniel is our Director, color corrector and all-around post-production polish guy- then you’re talking about significantly adding to the plates of me and Nick.
It’s already hard enough with 3 of us, and to shrink that down to 2 people is just overkill, especially for a show that can never make us any money.
As I said before, Daniel’s more than just a voice- he’s an irreplaceable force in getting this show completed. We started the show together and want to finish it together, since we’re buds.
I mean, honestly, your question was answered so thoroughly in “The Curtain Closes” post already that it says to me that you didn’t even read what I wrote.
You guys have not just made a machinima, you have made one of the most epic and funny works of ART seen over the internet, if their was a machinima hall of fame you guys would be added in a second.
and personally, i wouldn’t want you guys to continue without daniel either, Ellis was my fav character and seeing TLW without him… it really isn’t the Leet World.
i’m not holding a funeral the day Leet World goes off the net. Nay, I will party, and remember all the gags, all the Montrose sexy jokes, all the Cortez saying he’s a badass, every gay joke Ellis made about Monty, Leeroy’s lovable nerdy-ness, and players constant wackiness.
I will promise you that on the day of the movie, i shall party harder than Chet with an unlimited keg and a group of models.
“Good bye soilders”
“Bye… CROTCH BUTTER”
“Bitch got canceled”
“So long bo”
Good bye Leet World 🙁
Kinda bum and kinda cool. The movie is a great idea.
Too bad Daniel has to go… But I don’t think his voice dosen’t have to. It’s the internet! He can record his voice at his house, and send it to HQ(Eddy, and Nick’s place).
But here again, I’m making it sound too easy. It’s tru. Losing a director of a show, results in making episodes that look like Japanese television programs.
Oh well, It’s not the end of the world. I’m looking forward to G.R.I.E.F. That’s going to be fun.
so how meny episodes r gonna be in this season or that unclear yet
waves good bye *as the sad hulk tv series credit theme song plays* Daniel, you will be duly missed by me, and my roomates. I really hope this isn’t goodbye for good
This post is almost more of ounch in the stomach than the last one. But hey, you do this for free, you don’t have to do anything at all, so I should be happy about everything that came and everything that will come.
Well there’s always TF2 shorts that you guys could do.
(I’d love that)
You’re totally right. 🙂 You guys can make awesome shorts about TF2!
TF2 shorts? lol that would be funny.
Imagine The heavy with cortez’s voice lol
I guess nothing can be done
Haha, well, in all truth, it’s good that you’re ending it. Much better to go out in a blaze of glory than in obscurity.
I always liked TLW, although I wasn’t around for the first quarter of Season 1. When I saw this, I saw something of Red vs Blue potential. Which, although you may not like the idea of being compared to another machinima group, I think is quite flattering how successful RvB has become.
And it truly is a shame that Valve won’t let you sell DVD’s of this amazing show. More so when you realize that it is 100% their loss, I mean, it’s almost like this is the one company in the world that seems contributed to pissing off it’s user base. Microsoft and Bungie were smart when the allowed Rooster Teeth to sell RvB DVD’s, I only wish Valve was for you guys too.
As for “Web Zeroes”, I’m going to miss that too, and it’s a shame that that will have to end to. Because it’s great to see a video of the guys we know as the cast from TLW (I lol’ed the first time I heard your voices and understood that some of the caracters voices were made out of laziness), but also because we get to see “some of what gets put into making a machinima”. I say that in quotes, because I know that you exagerate the shorts to make them seem funnier, and they are.
Oh well, here’s to hoping that the rest of Season 2 and the movie will do good by the fans, but more so, by you. I’d hate to become the proud owner of a monster I created…
