I know I’ve said it before, but the general rule around here is that the more busy we are, the quieter we tend to be. Coming up on the twelfth episode of Season 2 is no exception. With Daniel still out of town and gallivanting around movie sets like some cinema cowboy, we’re left scrambling to finish the season. But it’s a good kind of scramble. Like eggs.
It’s hard to believe there are just a couple more episodes left, but that’s the way we roll, I guess. Thanks to you dudes that have stuck it out so far for this absurd machinima. Anywho, here are some screenshots from the next episode.

Concerning these rumours of a movie, is it something that you’ve been making slowly since you started? Therefore meaning that we won’t have to wait so long for it. Or is it something that you’ll begin shooting after the second series finishes (plus break obviously, you’re only human)?
I can’t say I ever really follow screenshots. Even when I followed the original episodes and there were screenshots [I shall say] prequels, I never really followed or even took much notice of them. Do many people differ from me here? Or is it something that you feel you should provide for us humble viewers just to keep us in the loop?
no matter what either answer is to either question, I look forward to the next episode. you probably hear the same old praise a lot, but keep up the good work.

You’re going to have to wait awhile for the movie. Not sure how long, really, but probably a long time. Can’t elaborate more than that, unfortunately.
In terms of screenshots, we just like to update people so they know what’s going on. I’ve seen some content creators not give any kind of update and then you have no idea what’s going on with them. We try to keep the site up to date so people know there’s a reason to come back.

picture three looks very interesting but I am skeptical of Leeroy – we only see him enter the Wolf Corp HQ in the death room, we didn’t actually see him leave. Hence makes me think his whole “we need to kill player” a load of horse crock from the producer trying to cover his a$$

Aye I understand that it will be a while, because of obvious lengthening and therefore the requirement of far more time, but did you start shooting for it a while ago or are you just gonna fully deal with it after Series 2 closes?
But aye I see what you mean on screenshots, I tend to look for release predictions in your articles, even the vague ones that say it should be in the next week or so. I also notice that you tend to be a little late on predicted release? Is that just because perfecting is a no pain no gain scenario or because you like to be fashionably late, keeping the audience waiting etc.
sorry for this bombardment of questions, I guess i show a large interest in the actual manufacturing of it.
P.S: I can’t click a link to my profile… is this normal? and is there something i do to enable it? Or a I missing something?

No worries about questions. I like answering them.
We haven’t started the movie yet. It would just make season 2 take all the longer to finish, and we’re on kind of a strict timetable.
As for predicted releases being sometimes late, that’s exactly why we don’t give release dates. Any number of things can delay an episode. Sometimes, Jace is on a contract job and doesn’t have free time to do the music until a certain point, sometimes we have some issues with audio or a shot that’s giving us a lot of trouble. There’s a lot of work and a lot steps that go into each episode, so if anyone of them gets held up, it slows down the entire thing.
Because of that, it’s so hard to accurately predict when the episode is going to come out. We have an idea of the date we want to release it, but we almost never hit that, so we feel like it’s best to just not say anything until the episode is almost done.

Ahh top man. whoever said ignorance is bliss never had a Q&A session.
I’m interested in camera shots though. Do you have several people in spectator mode with the free camera? Just roaming around picking shots?
Also, was meaning to ask about a scene early in the first season, specifically dust to dust.
Where the camera travels from CT spawn to T spawn, is that just the free camera being directed there and then being polished with effects etc?
I tried to do it once when i was dead (which is most of the time) with the camera but just went through loads of walls because I’m not witted enough to evade them. If you do that, bang up job.
Dates aren’t too much fun anyway, when I check my Facebook or am browsing I like to see if there’s a new episode and I prefer the surprise. Besides, it’s something to do while I wait for an e-mail or something.

We actually have one player that acts as the camera, we just remove the hud, etc. The Dust2Dust thing was in fact someone running from spawn to spawn, then sped up, nothing special. A lot of the questions you’re asking will be answered in some behind the scenes stuff we’re hoping to get done at some point.

Also, I must know.
The Producer and the doctor(or ‘the bald guy’ as Chet labels him), how do you make their mouths move according to the speech? It amazed me immediately.
Well your beloved fans might ring your neck if it delays the next episode, you might need to find a safehouse, like in Farcry 2. Except there won’t be gunfighters nearby randomly re-spawning after you sleep.

Just a question (since that’s basically what’s filling up these comments), as long as I have a Gravatar.com account with a selected Avatar for the same e-mail, it should pop up here as well right? I don’t need to be logged in or anything? Up until now i’ve only had the ghost thing.
And perhaps to answer part of Flascists question: TV shows release trailers for their next episodes, NCIS has freeze-frames of how the next 15 minutes of episode will end, TLW posts Screenies I guess? And it’s kinda cool, I tend to remember them when I see them in the episode and go: oooh so thats what he was doing.
It keeps our mouths shut I guess coz we are all guessing like, in this case: OMG wtf is Player doing? I haev about a 5% success rate at being right in these cases.

Sweet stuff Eddy, I know this might bother you to death, but considering the last episode came out recently, are we gonna have to wait another week or so, or should I not bother asking for an ETC?
Also, when we’re gonna hear about the Season 2 Soundtrack? lurved the first one (and damndangerous) =)

The wait is always 2-3 weeks. So just assume that from whenever the last one came out. The finale might take a tad longer than that though. It’s kind of huge.

Excellent stuff guys. The screenshots just make my anticipation level go beyond its limit, which is why I’m kinda pissed, but that’s ok, since epicness is gonna cure that in about 2-3 weeks.
One thing though. Eddy, you may refer to this as an absurd machinima, and I agree it may have been one during the first couple of episodes, but the monster it has evolved in during the past 1 and a half years has truly been fascinating, and I commend you guys on your film-making abilities, and whatever others you have used to create this fantastic series (the same goes for the music created by Jace).
Also, the ‘behind-the-scenes’ video…you announced it a while back (I believe that was 2 months ago, am I right?). What happened to it? Was it started, and then postponed, or did you guys simply run out of time to do it during the season? Don’t get me wrong, you shouldn’t rush it, nor am I asking you to. Just wondering ^^

It was already asked but not answered yet, so will the S2 Soundtrack come out before or after The Leet World Movie?
Also, not sure if you’ve considered it but could there possibly be a TLW Movie Soundtrack/Bonus tracks???

We’re on such a tight timetable with getting this season done that we’ve pretty much thrown off all extras that aren’t the actual episodes. That’s included outtakes and podcasts as well. It’s probably best for us to just plow through and get the season done before we move on.

Ok, im not sure if this is what anyone else is thinking, but after i seen the screeny, i looked at what the bottom phrase said,and it said “That last one is a major tease, am I right?” That made me think a lil, so i decided to read the comments and i came to this whacko conclusion, what if that isnt the “Player” we know, as he said its making me think harder D::D TO BAD!~!! IT AINT TR1K3RZ M3H! (player language).

Remember he was very nervous of dieing in the last episode and he said: “I won’t do it!”.

Aw, no outtakes? That’s a big bummer right there. But, will you be releasing them once you’re done with the season? Cuz it’d be a real shame just to throw them away…they’re always a good laugh before the actual episodes (or in this case, before the film).

Like I said before, we’re only focusing on the episodes so we can get the season finished in time. There might be time after that for the extras, but I seriously doubt it. We’ve got a lot going on.

i also enjoyed podcasts, because they got epic lulz in them, also the out-takes they were funny too. What i was thinking was that during the period where they are making the movie and have finished the season they can release all the out-takes they have built up. Plus they can release pod-casts of the events during the time they they are away! I am too good

The program is called Faceposer.
I comes with Source SDK, and Source SDK comes with any Valve game that is powered by the Source Engine. It uses a phoneme detector to sync the characters mouths up to the audio.

Hey remember that a ARMY of “Players” is coming to destroy our heroes. Player might freak out, maybe trying to kill everyone, so i think Chet will help player over this, maybe with a phrase like this “Player, bro, you are more that a robot man…”
As for Ellis, well he never was very brave, as someone above sad that he is scared and going home, maybe, but i don`t think he will live his friends.
Cortez and Leeroy, realy no idea, no hard idea.
And one more thing, Ahmad, will return, maybe as a cyborg like Player, or maybe helping in the deathroom, i don`t care, but he will return!

What if all viewers of TLW would donate 0.50-2 euro/dollar? No idea how many viewers TLW has, but with 10000 viewers it would already be 5000 euro/dollar. I wouldn’t mind paying 1 euro a month to watch

Stranger in the House was May 15
Wake Me Up Before You Go was June 5
Death’s Dungeon was June 24
My guess is that the next episode will be released somewhere around July 10. I’m not going to hold you guys to that release though, since it’s one I predicted and that wouldn’t be fair. It does help the waiting though to have a time worked out for when I can expect to see something (though I’ll only have myself to blame if I’m wrong).

Now -Anonymous-, that doesn’t really answer the time thing, but I’m assuming it’s somewhat similar. Maybe they decide on a Tuesday we’re gna put some finishing touches and then put it up tomorrow, but end up finishing the whole thing at 2 in the morning and post it up then coz they just wanna get rid of it.
Not sure Eddy if I’m answering the right thing but I’ve seen you (and some of the other SFF people) have to explain time and time again that there is no set time, so I thought I’d save you the trouble with some neat Copy+Pasting and reasoning. But correct me if I’m wrong of course.
TehKiller, I agree that these guys really deserve some sort of reward that they can use in the real world, the most obvious being cash. I find it amazing that the whole TLW keeps rolling for the love of Machinimaking and the response from their fans and that they are content with that. Maybe somebody will notice the amazing story/writing that goes into the TLW and offer one of them a job? SFF has some talent that could be used in the film/series industry. I mean this storyline beats thigns like Prison Break imo…
