Texas Summers are like living on some distant star. The boiling, the heat, the humidity (for us Houstonians, anyway)… it just wears a man down to his bones, or whatever other endoskeleton that is used to construct geeks like ourselves. In the midst of all of that, we’re still toiling away at the final episode of TLW, one scene at a time.
Some of you may have noticed that there’s been a bit of radio silence for the last few weeks. There are a few reasons for that. Part of it is that there has been some vacationing going on, and another is something that we hope to tell you about soon. Still another part is that Episode 14 is the Godzilla of episodes. It is obese. All others bow before it. That hyperbole simply means that it is big.
I’d say we’ve got about a third of it left to film, but it’s the hard third (that’s what she said), so take that with a grain of salt. When we’re nearing about a week from release, we’ll let you know. It’s not that time yet, good sirs.
Maybe these screenshots will tide you over, but probably not.
Feel free to speculate. Thanks for sticking around to see this thing through with us, dudes. You’re kind of awesome in that way.

I’m pretty sure they are just skins of the Chet model. I don’t think they are Chet cyborgs at all really. But knowing TLW I could be wrong 😉

And as for length, we’re not sure. I almost said what I thought, but it’s just too hard to tell at this point. We’ve got lots of gaps to fill in. I’m guessing it’ll be comparable to Ep 14 part 3 from Season 1, but don’t hold me to that.

These screenshots aren’t much for me to make my usual “screenshot conclusions”, but I’m surprised no-one has noticed (or at least noticed AND commented) that Chet and Player in the second screenshot are stuck with crappy pistols.
If you try and zoom into the pic, you’ll see. So if that’s the case, Westy was right about it being suicide. I guess Leeroy was right also about the lack of ability to bring stuff in and out of the death room, or Chet and Player left their firearms at the table with all the weapons past episode.
Plus, the army fighting Chet and his “bro” aren’t bots. They’re just the same guards Leeroy encountered in that episode–I forget what number it was, but I guess you know.

Nice post, pikachu. Westy isn’t always wrong, eh? And yeah, while we’ve never explained all of the rules of the death room, we do have some rules that we always go by, and Leeroy was indeed correct in his assumption last episode. Though you never know, some of the rules might get broken…

At the end of the season one finale, Player and Ellis reach the end of the deathroom, except it was just a big wall with a small door in it. My question is this: Where did that HUGE staircase come from? Where is the other “entrance”, if there is one? I mean, all of the sudden, a big staircase showed up that led to the base. Where is that door that Ellis and Player saw? We may never know…

Back then it seemed ironic,as to us it as just a long hallway, but whenever player has been in the death room there was always a bit of foreshadowing, like with the whale sound noise, the fact that he COULD see the door, so i’m thinking that was a then-joke but also half telling us that the deathroom was a huge expanse with many corridors and shit?

as for ppl talking about ‘chet bots’ – the russians were remakes of the Phoenix Connexion (Ahmad) skin (or was it Ellis’s skin?) – mendoza was the same model as cortez but without glasses and a diff colour jacket, asher was a remake of the GSG-9 skin…
so these guards are the ST-6/DEVGRU with a bit of edits.
the playebrots are purposefully just the SAS model because they are supposed to look just like Player. If there were Chet Bots they would also look exactloy like Chet.

Also, in the most recent episode, Chet referred to the death room as a maze that Leeroy had to spend months researching to even find Noonien. It’s a big place, we just haven’t seen all of it, and don’t really need to.

Just two things:
First, if Adam Sizzler was just a figment of Ahmad’s imagination (as Asher said), then how did the terrorists actually talk to him in person? Is this a plot hole, do the terrorists all have chips (!), or was Asher lying?
And second, are you ever going to release the new death room map? It looks epic.
As for my two cents, remember that Leeroy copied Player’s core programming, and there are like a hundred Player.v2s…
There’s a real Adam Sizzler (the one that the T’s talked to) and the one that was in Ahmad’s mind. Ahmad even mentioned in Ep 11 that when they kidnapped Sizzler, he had no idea who Ahmad was. This was a plot point we hoped to expand on more, but given the current state of things, we won’t be able to.

On the topic of Adam Sizzler, there’s an actual guy named Adam Sezzler, a close resemblance. He’s a guy on the TV show, X-Play (G4), who reviews games. Sizzler (TLW) even reviewed a game in an episode back in Season 1(This was pre-Hax.). Is the resemblance of their names intentional?

Hello there all, this is actually my first post on this site, although I’ve been signed up for quiet sometime. First I have got to say that this has been a fantastic series, and this is by far my favorite machinima out there. I can not wait for the next episode, although part of me wishes it doesn’t come out at all due to the fact that it is the last one.
Also, I know everyone has been asking this quiet a lot, but I need to make sure, is there still going to be a Leet World movie? Just wondering. Anyway, thanks for the awesome years and I really wish you guys the best in whatever you do next.

As for the part about shooting at Player, I can’t guess why. Maybe they realized he wasn’t needed anymore or somethin’.

No no no, you guys got it all wrong.
The first picture is just a shootout at the house.
The second one is Chet and Player in the deathroom.
The third one is all of the player bots that died, thus getting sent to the deathroom and fighting Chet&Player.
(Or just those security guards)
I’ve never did, but I just noticed that the death room has no apparent light source. I wonder how it’s so bright in most parts.
And what’s up with the creepy playground in the middle of the death room? I never understood how it’s important. Maybe that’s where the Players play? 🙂
This series should be entered into the Machinima Filmfest Awards or something. The series would have most luck at Best Series, Best Original Music, Best Voice Acting, and Best Writing.
(EDIT: The Leet World is actually already an Honorary Mention in the Best Series catagory in the 2008 Machinima Filmfest.)
i never post on these things, but i read every single one… you guys are really good at what you do. I have throughly enjoyed leet world, and i think i could continue watching it for years.. it is by far one of the most entertaining things on the internet. I am really looking foward to the finale, and even more looking foward to the movie. everytime i see an rss feed from your site, i nearly jump out of my chair to see what player is up to.

And, there MUST be a real Sizzler, since.. Do you remember the first episodes of Season 1? There was drunken Chet and Player and they were watching TV. There was Sizzler who rated a game as “Sizzling” and 5/5.

When you look at the third screen shoot, as far as we can see none of those guards are using the same weapon one has an AK-47, one has MP5, and one has a P90
