Next to Episode 7 and the Finale, it’s maybe the biggest of the season. Be careful when reading comments, as there will be spoilers run amok. The Terrorists have been caught in a trap, and it looks like the Counter-Terrorists could be next. How will the cast respond to a renegade Asher… and just how far will someone go to save a friend?

Just wanted to write a quick update so you guys know that we’re alive and kicking. Due to the Memorial Day holiday weekend, we pretty much have been (mostly) on break for a few days, which was needed. The next month or so is going to murder us production-wise, so it was good to chill, play video games, and whatever else it is that three geeks do in their free time.

However, some work is still progressing in order to ensure that Episode 10 makes its debut next week. I spent Sunday cursing JJ (who wrote eps 8-10) for putting in the longest scene that required faceposer in the history of our simple machinima. Daniel spent some time working on some cool visual elements last week, and Nick is hard at work on the edit. In addition, we recorded some audio for Episode 11, which begins filming this weekend.

In other news, the summer movie season is just getting underway. So far, Star Trek serves as a proper example of how to reboot a franchise, while Terminator: Salvation is just the opposite. What summer movie are you guys looking forward to the most? At this point, my money’s all on Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince.

We now present Episode 9 of Season 2, Stranger in the House, for your devouring. Eat and be merry, fools. With this, we approach the final lap, which, as I’ve said before, is more than a tad nuts. Hold on to your butts, Jurassic Park style.

We don’t really have deleted scenes in our episodes all that often, but once in a blue moon it happens. There are a few reasons for this. I’m a strong believer that in our show, scenes should do three things:

• Advance the story
• Build characters
• Have lulz

While it’s not possible to accomplish all three things in each and every scene, we hope to have at least two, and if nothing else, just one. When a scene has none of those 3 things, then it usually just gets axed, never to see the light of day. And trust me, that’s for the better.

However, there are other times when we cut scenes simply because YouTube sucks, and only allows us to put up 10 minute videos with our account (certain accounts allow you to do more if you’ve signed up before a certain date, but we were late to the YouTube party). We could split the video in two for them and deliver you guys a longer one, but it becomes such a pain in the ass to do this.

This is where you guys get screwed a little, and that’s mostly due to many of the kind folks over at YouTube being unable to grasp the concept of checking our profile page for the second video. Seriously, I don’t know how some of them even turn on their computers (if you’re here from YouTube, you are not included in this group, since you are clearly of a superior intelligence). Luckily, this has only affected just a couple of episodes throughout the entire series.

Anywho, Episode 8 of Season 2 had a couple of scenes cut for this very reason. One of them was filmed and one wasn’t. Check them out after the jump.

The house has changed since a recent subtraction and addition to one of the teams, and everybody is feeling it. Will Asher get the CT’s to work together again? How will the Terrorists pursue their plan? And why is Player acting so strange?

Production on Season 2, Episode 8 is rolling along pretty smoothly. It’s always funny when we do a big monster episode like Tempest and then things settle down a bit, making the episode much easier to film. The episode itself is going to be a shorter one, but that doesn’t mean it’s not chock full of goodness.

Sometime in the next few days you should expect some outtakes from Episodes 5-7. They will contain a couple of rofls, I hope. While we have gotten better about recording our stuff without many goof-ups, it’s three episodes worth of content, so it should balance out.

Today is a very special day for Daniel, director, and voice of Ellis and Adam Sizzler in The Leet World. He turns 28 years of age. Yikes. I hope he doesn’t break a hip or something. Wish him a good one, he deserves it.

Production has started again on the show as of this weekend, and we are slicing that thing up like raptors in Jurassic Park. That is to say, the attack will come from the side, from the raptor you didn’t even know was there. The second half of this season is kind of awesome, so we’re looking forward to getting on with it. I’ll have some screenshots for you dudes later on in the week, I hope.

I randomly watched a lot of Season 1 yesterday, for the first time in several months. While watching some battle sequences, it came upon me to ask you dudes which gunfight/battle you’ve liked best so far in The Leet World. So, answer away. What’s your favorite?

Making a series like TLW takes a crap-ton of time. So whenever we get a reprieve from the insanity of this absurd Counter-Strike: Source machinima, we tend to live it up. I’ve been playing a stupid amount of video games, particularly Halo Wars, Resident Evil 5, and some Killzone 2 for good measure. We even started up a game of D&D with some friends, which I’ve never done before. Nick is a Dwarven Paladin named John Smotetrain, Daniel is an Avenger named Cortez Cardinal, and I’m a Wizard named Tom Shanks. We are questers of the most badass sort.

However, all that free time is gone as of this coming weekend, as we kick up production on Episode 8. We’ll hopefully have a camera there filming the process as we move through some of the episode, and hope to release our “making of” video at some point in the next month or so.

Speaking of, do you guys have any particular piece of the TLW production process that you’re most interested in hearing about? Besides whether or not Nick’s Beard (it must be capitalized out of honor) hinders our ability to puppeteer. Let us know!

We now present to you dudes Season 2, Episode 7 of The Leet World, Tempest. As we’ve said for several weeks, this episode is a game changer, in more ways than one.

It also officially marks the halfway point of Season 2, in terms of the story we’re telling. Does that mean the whole season is going to be 14 episodes? Maybe, maybe not. We’ll see how it unfolds.

But just like Episode 8 was a big mile marker last season, this episode is serving the same function. And just like last year, we’re taking a few weeks off to get ready for the back half of this epic season. We need it!
