The Leet World Podcast, Episode 4

Perhaps the title to this one should have been “It’s about time”. We wanted to do this next installment to the podcast a while back, but we decided that finishing Episode 11 took precedence. I think you guys should really enjoy the wide variety of topics we cover in this edition of The Leet World podcast, clocking in at half an hour. A brief rundown of what you’ll hear:

Our feelings on Episode 11, the original plan for the “hax” storyline, plans for the end of Season One (and future seasons), our summer project, fan questions about zombies, bloopers, how Daniel is Magneto, the origins of Rick-Rolling, The Portal Day, The Bag Boy, Law and Order: Street Justice and two upcoming Leet World fan contests!

Give it a listen, and enjoy. To download, right click the direct link and select “Save As”.

Nine To Five

As promised, here is the song from Damn Dangerous that was composed for “A Day in the Life of a Turret”. We don’t talk about Jace and his music as much as we should, but seriously- he makes our videos what they are. This newest song, “Nine to Five“, is a perfect example of how music can take a piece to the next level. In the near future, there will be more ways to get your hands on the music that is featured on The Leet World.

Shutting Down the WOPR

How about a nice game of chess?

Wow. What a crazy weekend.

As you are no doubt keenly aware, our server got- well- served. Thoroughly. “A Day in the Life of a Turret” has been a huge success, to say the least.  I guess people like them some Portal videos.

Much thanks to Digg, Kotaku, Joystiq, Destructoid, 1Up, Next-Gen, XBox 360 Fanboy, and all the others that pushed massive traffic (read: tens of thousands) to our humble abode, whose walls could not withstand the battering ram of the insatiable, tentacle-ey interweb.

Now that things have slowed down, we are re-hosting what will be forever known around Smooth Few Films as the video. There are a few places to find it.

GamingTV has kindly hosted some mirrors for us. GamingTV Mirrors!

Expect the Damn Dangerous song to appear on our site tomorrow!

As promised, here are the first screenshots from Episode Nine of The Leet World. Obviously, we’re not going to give much away, though there is a small revelation about the setting. Enjoy!

Nice hat. Phone-ing. Strategery.

Hello Computer…

So there’s been tons of traffic coming through here today for the Portal video, “A Day in the Life of a Turret”, which you can find below. As a result, things are a little sluggish around here, but it should all be cleared up over the course of the next day or so.

Also, I’d like to take this time to push people to Jonathan Coulton’s website, because hey, he wrote “Still Alive”, and he’s a plain awesome dude.

Portal: A Day in the Life of a Turret

If a turret bitches about its job and nobody is around to hear it, does it make a sound? You bet it does. “A Day in the Life of a Turret” catches two turrets on the job during a typical day at the Aperture Science Enrichment Center, and the monotony that lies within. Enjoy!
