Look at that. This is a first for Smooth Few Films, probably. Two episodes of content, two weeks in a row. So this is what it feels like to be on time for something.
Anywho, the newest addition of Web Zeroes is now up for your enjoyment. In Episode 2, Ray convinces Nate to let him film a documentary about his day job, where he moonlights as a tech support specialist named the Tech Yeti. Yes, there are beards involved. Also, handsome brown men.
To download the episode or see higher res versions, head over to Revision3, or subscribe to Web Zeroes on iTunes. We’ve actually been featured there in the “new and noteworthy” section under the podcasts. Cool stuff.
Much thanks in advance to everyone who takes the time to watch this episode and leave a comment. Hit the jump to start watching. Episode 3 will be out next week on October 21st! Continue reading →
Now that the Season Finale has come and gone, I must say we’re pretty pleased with the results. Much thanks to you guys for all the thoughtful comments/ encouragement/ criticism that you left, it was definitely really cool for us to read. It’s nice to be on break for a couple of weeks, but that doesn’t mean the content is going to stop. On the burner right now:
Season Finale Outtakes
These should be up by the end of the week. I’m going to get cranking on the 50 or so audio files (that’s right, 50) that make up parts 1, 2 and 3 of the Finale. There’s a lot of good stuff in there.
Starting next week we’ll be adding episode commentaries by Nick, Daniel and myself. We’ll be doing this every week until we’re finished. There’s a chance you might get one or two eps worth of commentary per week, but I’m not making any promises.
We really wanted to have one of these ready when the season ended, but Daniel’s absence kept that from happening until now. He gets back in tomorrow. Much celebration will ensue.
There are other assorted surprises that you guys will see soon enough, so don’t go anywhere.
Well, now that Episode Twelve has come and gone, things are really starting to gather steam on our end. I know that you guys will be upset when the season is done in two episodes, but for us, it’s a goal that we’re trying to hit and a pretty cool accomplishment. We feel like we’ve told a fun story so far and we’re looking forward to how it’s going to wrap up.
The next month is pretty packed: as of now, we’re planning to bring a new short (maybe two), Episode Thirteen, a new podcast and lots of other cool features. I think you guys will enjoy what we’ve got cooking. But then again, we’re terrible at planning and like an antithesis to Ian Malcolm’s “Life finds a way” speech in Jurassic Park, things tend to find a way to kick us as far as our production schedule goes. That’s when life shows up and hisses at us and blinds us with its black gooey saliva of eye-pain.
Naturally, I assumed that releasing an episode would override any desire to read the next character bio, but clearly, you people are addicted. So, as planned, here’s this week’s installment of The Leet World character bios: Montrose.
Perhaps the title to this one should have been “It’s about time”. We wanted to do this next installment to the podcast a while back, but we decided that finishing Episode 11 took precedence. I think you guys should really enjoy the wide variety of topics we cover in this edition of The Leet World podcast, clocking in at half an hour. A brief rundown of what you’ll hear:
Our feelings on Episode 11, the original plan for the “hax” storyline, plans for the end of Season One (and future seasons), our summer project, fan questions about zombies, bloopers, how Daniel is Magneto, the origins of Rick-Rolling, The Portal Day, The Bag Boy, Law and Order: Street Justice and two upcoming Leet World fan contests!
Give it a listen, and enjoy. To download, right click the direct link and select “Save As”.
We now present Episode Ten of The Leet World, “Reel Drama”. I think you guys will like the way this one turns out. Stay tuned as the next few updates will bring audio outtakes, a podcast (hopefully), and the public release of a certain cast member’s new movie. Not necessarily in that order.
As promised, the first bit of content is here for your enjoyment, The Leet World Podcast, Episode 3. We answered a few of the questions that people asked on the forums in this podcast, and cover a wide array of topics including: Episode 8, the Domination character, CSS vs Gmod, The Over-Achiever, my addiction to gamer points, creative differences (disagreements), and Daniel’s dislike of dark places. For the most part, it is nothing but TLW content.
All of this clocks in at a fairly reasonable time of under 20 minutes. Give it a listen:
Well, here’s the second edition of The Leet World podcast, where we talk about the show, some of your questions, and a few VERY nerdy things (you’ll have to listen to find out). We recorded it a little over a week ago, the day before Episode Six came out. If for no other reason, at least check it out to hear Damn Dangerous’s alternate “podcast version” of The Leet World theme-tune. It’s wonderful.
A few things will become clear when you listen to this… mainly, that we know way too much about TV. And Daniel and Nick are way too into tech.
Also, playing on the server with some of you dudes yesterday was swell. Hope to see more of you guys on there.
So while Daniel and Nick have been gone, I’ve unleashed a slew of content in your general vicinity. Hopefully it’s been somewhat entertaining and in some cases, informative. Since you’ve all been kind of asking and secretly wishing, today I bring you Episode Four and Five audio outtakes. I trust that you’ll find them amusing.
Daniel and Nick have now returned back from Cali, so Episode Six can finally continue on its merry. Expect a trailer soon.
Hi dudes, just bringing you a present in the form of the first Smooth Few Films podcast concerning “The Leet World”. Not sure how many of you are into podcasts, but we had a fun time recording it (as you’ll no doubt hear). We talk about a variety of things from the show, to gaming, to television. Not bad for a trial run. We’d like to eventually turn this into a forum for us to talk about media, technology- pretty much all things nerdy. Also, in the future, we’ll possibly be taking questions from you guys that you’d like us to talk about, as far as the show goes.
This feed will work in any RSS reader, but if you plug it into a podcast-ready program like iTunes, it will automatically download the newest episode of The Leet World in our iPod-ready format. Subscribe to your heart’s content!
