Audio Hilarity

Well dudes, things have been going great since the release of Episode Seven. Work on the next episode is progressing smoothly, though it’s a little daunting since this episode will have some complicated elements to it.

Some quick gaming news- IGN has released a “Top 100 Games of All Time” list to feed your fanboyism or your ranting. In my case, it’s both. It’s missing a few notables such as Counter-Strike, Tekken, anything from the Splinter Cell series, and the Sims for example. I’m not sure how MGS2 made the list but not MGS3. A few games were rated pretty low, too, I thought. It’s definitely worth a read though. Click here to discuss it in our forums.

Since I was feeling very generous, I put together a present for you guys: audio outtakes from episodes six and seven.

Scheduled Downtime Tonight

Hi folks, just a quick note… We’ve been informed by our webhost that they will be moving server clusters tonight, November 30th, starting at 10:00PM PST (GMT – 8). They estimate this process will take about 8 hours, so for those of us living on Central time, it should be fairly painless. For folks in other countries… not so much.

Thanks, and, as always, please donate. Your dollars buy Leeroy more computer peripherals.

Disappearing Act

Well, I know that some of you are waiting for a trailer. The sad news is that the trailer for Episode Seven isn’t done. However, the good news is that the actual episode is. I thought that would be a good trade off.

So we now present to you dudes, the rad viewers, Episode Seven of The Leet World, “Got Disappeared“. We think this is one of our best yet. Hope you like it.

City 7: Toronto Conflict

This is perhaps some of the coolest game news I’ve seen in some time. City 7: Toronto Conflict is a HL2 mission created by a student development team. Basically, they have recreated the city of Toronto to capture what was a horrific combine occupation not just in City 17, but the entire world. Browse the site, check out the screenshots, and learn more about the mission: it’s cool stuff!

Podcast-astic!

Well, here’s the second edition of The Leet World podcast, where we talk about the show, some of your questions, and a few VERY nerdy things (you’ll have to listen to find out). We recorded it a little over a week ago, the day before Episode Six came out. If for no other reason, at least check it out to hear Damn Dangerous’s alternate “podcast version” of The Leet World theme-tune. It’s wonderful.

A few things will become clear when you listen to this… mainly, that we know way too much about TV. And Daniel and Nick are way too into tech.

Also, playing on the server with some of you dudes yesterday was swell. Hope to see more of you guys on there.

Steam Powered!

Hey dudes, just letting everybody know that there will finally be people playing in our server again, as I have recently gotten my CS:S up and running. Not entirely sure what the problem was, but part of the way through Episode Four (I measure time by episodes now) my CS:S straight up kicked the bucket. A re-install of Steam did not seem to do the trick, so I actually reformatted my hard drive and went with a fresh install of XP, and now all is well. Look for us to be on every now and then (probably even tonight) at 63.209.36.184:27015. Should be fun.

Also, in gaming news this week: 1000 Gamerpoints in 2 minutes, Super Mario Galaxies is the highest rated game of all time, get Halo 3 for free when you buy a 360, Johnathan Coulton sings that awesome Portal song, Bioware is looking for writers!

Ep Seven Screenies

We are still working on getting better versions up of Episode Six. It’s odd that some people seem to be having problems with the downloadable versions, while it’s completely fine for others. There’s a highly technical term for this phenomenon: gremlins.

Work has begun on the filming of Episode Seven, so I thought I’d post just a couple of screenshots for you guys. I think you’ll find one rather interesting…

I r t3h nub! No sign…

Desks and Tops

If you’re here for Episode Six, scroll down, or check it out on the episodes page.

Well, things have been moving along here with the show, so far it seems that Episode Six is being received rather well. Glad to hear you guys are into the plot. It seems that some of you have been having trouble with our downloadable versions of this episode, so we’re having them re-encoded and hopefully working normally fairly soon.

Also, here is a fun little present you guys. Nick designed an “Ocho Muertos” logo for Episode Six, and though it’s hard to tell because CSS sprays are so low res, it’s very slick. Hopefully you guys will enjoy it in its desktop iteration. Click on the thumbnails to see them in their fully glory, and then right click and save if you want to make them your desktop. The first is 4:3, the second is for widescreen monitors.

Home Improvement

After many trials and tribulations, we finally present to you Episode Six of The Leet World, “Crib Appeal“. We’re very pleased with how it all turned out, and are extremely happy that it’s finally released. Trust me, it’s like the devil himself tried to stop us over the last 48 hours. But we battled.

Other versions will be added throughout the day. Enjoy!
