Hello Ladies

Beatles FansWe now present to you fine lads and lasses Web Zeroes Episode 15. Its official title, as we shared earlier this week, is The Red Headed Menace, or as our good Spaniard friends like Cortez would say, “La Amenaza Pelirroja”. Who is the particular menace in question? You’ll have to watch to find out. I’ll give you a hint, it’s not a lame Star Wars prequel.

In this episode, we see the guys tweaking Mulligan’s viral formula as a result of their recent legal debacles. The conclusion that they come to has a potential for great lulz and also some win. Or fail, I suppose. Anyway, a big thanks as always to Alex our sound dude and Jace Ford our resident rock star. Also, the dozens of lady extras that came out to be a part of the episode.

Hit the jump to give it a watch.

The Season Premiere

AvatarHere is Episode 14 of Web Zeroes, and the start of Season 2, Going Viral. In it, we find out the fate of Ray and the guys, and what is next on the docket in their attempts to be Web famous. It might involve something you all are familiar with. Or not. Plus, there are Avatar jokes.

Whereas last season took a few episodes to launch us into the story proper, we’re getting things going right off the bat this time around. And it only gets more ridiculous from there. Also, I’d like to point out that a couple of cast members appear shirtless and/or pantless in this kick-off, so yeah, it’s a party. Take off your pants too, if you want. We’re not here to judge. Well, maybe I am.

Special thanks to RoosterTeeth for appearing in our goofy show again. And much thanks to Jace and Alex for wrangling the music and sound over the weekend. They are wranglers of the finest sort, and they also work for free, so that’s cool.

The Road to Austin

Here is Episode 13 of Web Zeroes, the Season Finale. We do hope you guys enjoy it. It’s definitely a great feeling to be done with yet another season of a Web series we made, the third in just 2 years of doing this. A bit insane, really.

In this episode, the guys attempt to stop Ray from going to his job interview in Austin. There’s some RPG talk, a repeat appearance from a hobo, and a special cameo from the good dudes over at RoosterTeeth. Special thanks to them for taking the time to appear in our silly Web show.

Big props to Jace for this week’s music. I love the RPG feel of a lot of it. There are places that even remind me of Final Fantasy 7, which is not a bad thing in the slightest. Also, a huge thanks to all of our friends who helped us out over the season, and for Alex and Chuck, our sound and camera dudes who gave up their weekends for nothing in return.

Remember to vote for us for the Streamys if you haven’t done so yet. And to watch the episode, just hit the jump.

Webcomics and Pranks

Here is Episode 12 of Web Zeroes, <a href=”http://smoothfewfilms.com/2009/12/23/chicken-and-beard/” “target=”_blank”>Chicken and Beard, uploaded for your entertainment (con lulz, as they would say in Spanish). In this episode, the trio continue development on the iPhone app while starting a new Web comic called Chicken and Beard. It’s a very literal name, and is actually based on some stuff Daniel did at one point. Anywho, there are some twists and developments by the end that make for a good time.

This leads us right into the finale of Season 1, which will be coming out next week right on schedule. We don’t take breaks for Christmas apparently. Anyway, after Season 1 is done, we’ll be taking a bit of time off before Season 2 starts up, since we’ve been working like burros for right about the last year and a half. Basically we had no down time after Leet World and jumped straight into Web Zeroes, so we’re dying for some time to drink margaritas and play video games until our thumbs fall off. Or we become zombies.

To go ahead and watch this new, sweet episode (written by Jeff James, yet again), hit the jump. Before you do that, you might want to vote for us in the Streamys.

The Presentation

iphoneAnd now, here is Episode 11 of Web Zeroes, Software of the Future. In this ep, the guys pool their resources together to come up with an iPhone app presentation. Naturally, goofiness abounds.

We are only days away from wrapping filming on the first season, and it’s definitely a great feeling. There are going to be 13 episodes total, and the next two are kind of awesome. It’s been great reading everyone’s reactions to the series thus far, and I can’t wait to see how you guys respond as the first season wraps up.

In other news, the Streamys have started back up again, so your votes for Web Zeroes would definitely be appreciated. In particular, I’d love to see Jace Ford get the credit he deserves for consistently delivering us awesome music. Not that I’m telling you how to vote or anything…

Anyway, hit the jump to see the episode!

The Bury Squad

diggRight on schedule, here is Episode 10 of Web Zeroes, The Drop. In it, the dudes scramble to remove an unfinished Web site from Digg before lots of people see it and hate it. One wonders who they might contact to accomplish such a feat…

This is certainly an interesting episode both for us and for you guys, as it finally starts to hit the territory that the previous iteration of the series first hinted at. You’ll see what I mean at the end. For us, these last few episodes have been an absolute blast to make, and we really feel like we’re getting towards our stride. Apparently, we tend to gravitate towards something not all that dissimilar from Leet World- ridiculous dramatic situations, so we’re starting to see that more and more in Web Zeroes.

Speaking of Leet World there are more than a few nuggets for you TLW fans in this episode. Hit the jump to watch!

The Great Chart Heist

flickchartRight on schedule, here’s Episode 4 of Web Zeroes, Flickcharted Territory. In this episode, Alex takes his lessons from Bobby King and attempts to gain leverage over Nate and Ray. This is one of the two episodes that we knocked out over Labor Day weekend with Jace and Jeff in town, the second being Episode 5. Personally, I think it’s perhaps the best yet. We’ll see if you agree.

Once again, thanks to all of you who watch, comment and spread the word about our goofy shows. Also, you should check out the subject of this episode’s central conflict, Flickchart. It kind of rules and we were all seriously addicted to it for several weeks over the summer. Sign up and support the dudes there.

To download the episode or see higher res versions, head over to Revision3, or subscribe to Web Zeroes on iTunes. If you’re having problems playing the video, update your flash, or go to YouTube.

Expect some more TLW content at some point next week. Hopefully it’ll be more outtakes, but we shall see. For now, hit the jump to see the new episode of Web Zeroes!

Forum Fighters

Another week has passed, so that means a new episode of Web Zeroes has arrived. Episode 3, Snark-O-Matic, has the trio of Web wannabes trying to convert a snarky forum into a popular Internet blog. As is to be expected, the whole thing turns into crap. This episode was penned by JJ, our lovable Web master and the writer of other fine Smooth Few Films productions such as Season 2, Episode 10 of The Leet World.

Lots of thanks to all of you guys who have stuck around for Web Zeroes and all future projects. Seriously, we have feelings of less than threes for you animals. That is the opposite of “duns” or “h8s”. Do us a favor and help us out by spreading the word about this show as much as possible. It would make Nick happy. And as we all know, a happy yeti makes for a happy crew.

To download the episode or see higher res versions, head over to Revision3, or subscribe to Web Zeroes on iTunes. If you’re having problems playing the video, update your flash, or go to YouTube.

Expect some new TLW outtakes later this week, and Episode 4 of Web Zeroes at the same time next week, October 28th! For now, hit the jump to start watching.

Announcing: Web Zeroes on Revision3!

We’re excited to announce that Web Zeroes is coming next month to Revision3!

For some of you, the cat has already been out of the bag since the newest episode of Diggnation aired last night, but the rest of you can still be surprised. If you’re unaware, Rev3 is the king of awesome Internet television content like Totally Rad Show, Film Riot, Co-Op and then some. Those of you that already watch their stuff can easily attest to that.

As for our show, this is going to be a slightly rebooted version of Web Zeroes, hence the removal of the episodes from our site. I can’t go into a whole lot of detail about it just yet, but for now, you should go watch the new Web Zeroes trailer over at Revision3! This is a huge opportunity that we’re extremely pumped about. We can’t wait to show you what we’ve been working on.
